Since the early 1990s, his work has focused on the human psyche, addiction and our capacity for inner transformation. But his search never stayed within the walls of a clinic.
Professor Nazaraliev travelled the world, learning from different countries and cultures. His path crossed five continents, from India and the Himalayas to Africa and South America. He studied medical approaches, spiritual traditions, and meditative and body practices of many peoples. Part of that journey became his book “Deliver and Forgive”.
All those years he was also looking for his own place: somewhere nature, silence and distance from the outside world could become part of a person’s inner work. That is how Ak-Tengir, the “Bright Space”, came to be on the south shore of Issyk-Kul.
The first ten years
Ak-Tengir remained a closed space. Guests and patients of Jenishbek Nazaraliev came here to recover, and it hosted psychological trainings and practices. Athletes, including Olympians, and business people from many countries came too. The Bright Space was open by personal invitation only.
Today
Today the founder’s family carries Ak-Tengir’s story forward. For the first time, its doors are open wider: to guests from Kyrgyzstan and travellers from all over the world. We carefully keep what this place was chosen for: privacy, silence, closeness to nature and a chance to step out of everyday life for a while.
We invite you to discover its story and philosophy, and this hidden corner between the mountains and Issyk-Kul, created with love and meaning.
